In reisbussen is ondertussen de gordeldracht "verplicht" (EU-richtlijn 2006), maar vraag me niet of die richtlijn in nationale wet omgezet is, en nadien of het ook nog gehandhaafd wordt... Sommige landen hebben ook niet op die laatste EU-richtlijn gewacht (*D al in 1999)

Road safety: new European rules on seat belt use

The latest European Directive[1] on the compulsory use of seat belts has to be incorporated into law in the Member States by 9 May 2006. Under the existing European legislation it was compulsory to use seat belts in vehicles below 3.5 tonnes fitted with restraints. This obligation has now been extended to all categories of vehicles. The Directive also requires the use of restraint systems specially adapted for children.

Twelve Member States[3] have informed the European Commission of their national measures for implementing Directive 2003/20/EC.

Six Member States[4] have asked the Commission to be allowed to grant exemptions.

Die Gurtpflicht für Reisebusse wurde in Deutschland zum 1. Januar 1999 gesetzlich verankert. Seit dem 1. Oktober 1999 sind die Hersteller von Reisebussen verpflichtet, ihre Fahrzeuge mit Gurten auszurüsten. Eine Nachrüstpflicht für ältere Busse gibt es wegen technischer und wirtschaftlicher Probleme allerdings nicht. Auf EU-Ebene gibt es seit Mai 2006 eine Pflicht zum Anschnallen in Reisebussen. Sie gilt streng genommen auch für Linienbusse und Nutzfahrzeuge. Allerdings wurden zunächst alte Fahrzeuge von der neuen Regelung ausgenommen, die noch nicht über Sicherheitsgurte verfügen.

Ik heb dat ook altijd al vreemd gevonden. En wanneer er dan wel gordels in bussen zitten, zie ik vaak dat ze niet worden gedragen.
Van dat filmpje lopen de rillingen haast over mijn rug.
